Tach-Tech³ is a non-profit foundation in Fayette County, Texas that bridges the gap between traditional secondary education and entrepreneurial training through the lens of classic-car restoration. It isn’t just about fixing old vehicles — it’s about building the next generation of creators, technicians and entrepreneurs.

Resto-Rat’s founder, Sam Wilson, has spent a lifetime restoring cars, motorcycles and boats. Tach-Tech³ is where that experience becomes a classroom: an AP-level program where students don’t just learn a trade — they run a real venture with a literal stake in its success.

More than a shop class

The three pillars of “Tech³”

An AP-level entrepreneurial program built on three equally important foundations — Mastery, Presence and Ownership.

1

Mechanical Mastery

Students engage in rigorous, hands-on restoration — reviving classic vehicles to a level indistinguishable from a factory build, or better with a Resto-Mod. A direct pipeline to workforce development and technical-college preparation.

2

Media & Presence

Every stage is documented with advanced technology — AI, videography, post-production and social marketing — building a global audience and real brand equity for the vehicle before it ever reaches the auction block.

3

Entrepreneurial Ownership

The program runs as an active business lab. Students form a non-profit company, manage the ledger, source parts and market the build — earning a literal stake in the proceeds when the car crosses the block.

The learn-while-you-earn model

Students aren’t just learners — they’re owners. Over a roughly 10-month build they earn a stipend for their hours and a share of the proceeds when the finished vehicle hammers at auction. If a bolt is left loose, they own the consequence; if the car commands a six-figure value, they own the triumph. Net proceeds fund the foundation and the next cohort’s project.

Who it’s for

Tach-Tech³ runs an AP-SHOP entrepreneur class for students aged 15–18, structured as a real 10-person company with defined roles — from lead technician to media and ledger management. It’s STEM on steroids: an AI-proof pathway into the trades, business and beyond.

Resto-Rat and Tach-Tech³ share a founder and a belief: that documenting and managing a restoration well is what turns a project into realized value. The app puts those tools in every restorer’s hands; the foundation puts them in the hands of the next generation.
